Barry Ennis was first exposed to the yoga practice in the year 2000 as an amateur baseball player. After experiencing the physical and mental benefits of yoga, he initially pursued a more consistent practice, taking classes across the wide variety of styles. He later began teaching at the Occidental College in Los Angeles. His practice grew with the reception of two different yoga certifications and teaching at several different studios throughout the United States. In 2009 he started the consultancy Elite Sport Yoga, working as a consultant for top training centers in Los Angeles providing flexibility training to professional athletes. In 2010, he left Los Angeles to pursue the study of Yoga Philosophy in Maharashtra, India at the Vedanta Academy. Since then, he settled in Dubai to help grow the yoga community through his extensive knowledge of the physical, mental, and philosophical aspects of yoga. Elite Sport Yoga has expanded to the Middle East. Barry teaches group yoga sessions and gives personal yoga training.
